ROSCOE LEE BROWN won an Emmy for his role as Dr. Barnabus Foster on The Cosby Show in 1986. Brown worked a great deal on the stage, including receiving an Obie Award in 1965 for his role as a rebellious slave in the off-Broadway production of Benito Cereno, several Shakespearean roles, and on Broadway: August Wilson's Two Trains Running (Tony nomination), My One and Only, A Hand Is On The Gate (also directed), Danton's Death, The Ballad of the Sad Cafe, Tiger Tiger Burning Bright, General Seeger, The Cool World. He had great success in many guest roles on television on shows like, All in the Family, Good Times, Soap, Highway to Heaven, and Will and Grace. His film works include the 1969 Alfred Hitchcock film Topaz, and opposite John Wayne in the 1972 film, The Cowboys. His other list of credentials includes voice-over work, such as the narration for the films Babe and Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties.
