ELIZABETH FURZE trained in journalism and worked in corporate PR before joining aka in 2000. aka is one of the world's foremost live entertainment advertising and marketing agencies with offices in the UK (London and Manchester), Australia (Melbourne) and New York. During her time in the London office, Liz managed all aspects of the advertising and marketing campaigns for more than 50 plays, musicals, seasons and venues. Among them, the Royal Shakespeare Company for whom in 2004, she oversaw a triumphant return to London and continued to work for through 2008. For Dodger Theatricals, she established Jersey Boys as a West End hit at the Prince Edward Theatre. Liz also directed the strategy and campaign for Dirty Dancing, The Classic Story on Stage which opened to the largest advance sales in London theatre history in October 2006. Following this success, she took responsibility for integrating and overseeing the marketing, advertising and press campaigns for all productions of Dirty Dancing worldwide (Toronto, Hamburg, Utrecht, Berlin and US Tour). In June 2008 Liz relocated to New York to establish aka NYC which currently offers marketing and promotions services for a number of Broadway shows including; Time Stands Still, A Little Night Music, Memphis, Rock of Ages, Elf, The Book of Mormon, Wonderland and Billy Elliot the Musical on tour.
