CHRISTOPHER JAHNKE (Orchestrator/Music Supervisor/Conductor) Orchestrator for the Broadway productions of: Legally Blonde; Cry Baby; Les Miserables (2006 Broadway Revival); Grease (2007). Chris also co-orchestrated (with William David Brohn) Lincoln Center Theater's productions of Dessa Rose and A Man of No Importance by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens. Other orchestrations include: Tom Jones (George Stiles & Paul Leigh); Chasing Nicolette; The Toxic Avenger Musical; Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley's album Opposite You; Just So (George Stiles & Anthony Drewe) and additional orchestrations for The Witches of Eastwick. He also created new the orchestrations and arrangements for Jerry Herman's Dear World (which are available for licensing through Tams Witmark). Chris' new orchestrations for Les Miserables are currently being performed on the 25th Anniversary international tour and can also be heard on the 2008 Dutch recording of Les Miz. Recently, Chris conducted From Broadway to West End - By Special Arrangement, a tribute concert to orchestrator William David Brohn at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, London UK. From 1996-2001, he was the Resident Conductor and Orchestrator at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, CT where he contributed to over 20 productions including the American Premier of Andrew Lloyd Webber's By Jeeves, Houdini, Mirette and Paper Moon and Lucky in the Rain. As assistant to his mentor, William David Brohn, Chris worked on productions including Sweet Smell of Success; Ragtime; The Three Musketeers; The Witches of Eastwick; Mary Poppins and Wicked. Currently, Chris is the Music Producer/Music Supervisor of Memphis, playing at the Shubert Theater, New York City.
